19 companies form Flexo4all alliance
A group of 19 suppliers in the narrow and wide web converting industries has formed an alliance called Flexo4all, which will meet for the first time at Drupa 2008 in Germany. According to the group’s statement, members share “experience and knowledge to perfect flexographic packaging printing while also promoting the advantages and innovation.”
Stated aims of the group are:
• Encouraging networking within the flexo industry to create active co-operation among all partners;
• Connecting the competence of all members to deliver knowledge and added value solutions worldwide;
• Promoting the value of flexography as the best technology to satisfy all printing needs; and
• Achieving improved and sustainable service for the flexographic packaging printing industry.
It is said by its members to be an heir to a group formed 20 years ago by DuPont Packaging Graphics called Flexo the Alternative.
Member companies are Bobst, Comexi, Degraf, DuPont, Eckart, EskoArtwork, Fischer & Krecke, Gallus, Gidue, Lohmann Adhesive Tapes, Omet, Praxair Surface Technologies, Rotatek, Siegwerk, Soma, Sun Chemical, Tesa, Uteco Converting, and Windmöller & Hölscher.
