3M Thermal Transfer Printable Label Materials feature facestocks and topcoats designed to withstand harsh environments — extreme temperatures, abrasions, chemicals, and solvents. These labels can be applied to uneven, curved or rough surfaces, or to low-surface energy substrates such as plastics and powder coated surfaces. This flexibility makes them ideal for automotive applications, electronics, lawn and garden equipment, or any place where long-term durability is important. Specific combinations of thermal transfer ribbons and 3M Thermal Transfer Printable Label Materials satisfy UL 969 standards for Marking and Labeling Systems. Most are printable by standard printing methods (flexo, letterpress, screen hot foil, etc.).
