Mach III Clutch, Inc. has announced that 19 new models have been added to their patented SensiFlex line of tension control clutches and brakes. These models include the new Mach III ULOW (ultra-low coefficient) friction facings and have 45% lower maximum torque capacities than their identically sized SensiFlex counterparts with LOCL friction facings. SensiFlex clutches and brakes are single surface, air-actuated friction devices that maintain tension on a roll. They were created specifically for tension control and incorporate design features that make them ideally suited for slip application conditions, including: patented actuator that engages smoothly at low pressures, radial cooling holes, separate models that maximize heat dissipation, and precision machined components which ensure smoothness.
