Hadronics, in partnership with Nation Coating Systems, has announced the creation of Hadron SR, a self release coating system carried on the surface and in the pores of a thermal sprayed carried bond to the roll surface. Because it is in the pores as well as on the surface of the roll, it is not affected by wear or mechanical damage from tools or knives during use. It is superior to fluorinated hydrocarbons and silicones in its long-term resistance to ink and adhesive pick-up and transfer. It can be applied to both a standard and customized thermal spray carrier. During the application process, the substrate never exceeds a temperature of 150° Fahrenheit.
