Grafix Equipment, a manufacturer of modular inline and offline converting equipment for the label, flexible packaging and converting Industries, has announced the unveiling of its new Rotary Diecut and Capture System (patent pending) expressly for the IML converting market. This system is a complete roll to product configuration that eliminates the need for sheeted product.
The Grafix Cut and Capture System is capable of full rotary diecutting of any difficult IML label material and the ability to control the label and capture it right out of the rotary tool and then stacking the product into “bricks” of whatever pre-determined quantity the converter requires. This system eliminates the need for multiple pieces of machinery and process steps, and allows for the fast and efficient diecutting, stacking, and packaging of IML labels normally done through a sheet to brick fashion.
The system is available as “Turn Key” – full flexo print and diecut to brick and package; and “Offline” – with re-register diecut to brick.
“Grafix Equipment offers our clients an efficient and lean system that provides for optimal performance, near zero waste, and optimal production,” says John Gallagher, president of Grafix Equipment. “Grafix builds product from the operators point of view, making it much more user friendly and requiring less training and a more productive profit generator within its environment by reducing wasted setup and makeready time.”
The Grafix product line offers equipment that can be reconfigured or added as needed. The company addressed applications in the label and tag, folding carton, ECL/booklets, digital finishing, direct mail and nonwovens segments of the industry.
