“We are very proud of Walle Corporation’s recognition as one of the only SGP-certified printers of labels for the consumer packaged goods industry. For decades, Walle has pursued eco-friendly printing processes for our label business because of a commitment to doing the right thing as an environmental steward in the community. In recent years, we have made significant sustainability achievements through the innovation of our label products which have helped our customers reach their sustainability objectives. As we look ahead, we are committed to continue to find new ways to do more with less and to minimize the environmental impact that we have in our communities and our world,” comments Sean Keeney, Walle’s president & CEO.
Greg Armstrong, Walle’s director of quality assurance, adds, “Applying for SGP certification has allowed us to gauge ourselves against known and accepted standards in environmental stewardship, recognize our strengths and opportunities, and demonstrate to our associates, customers, suppliers and communities that sustainability is a key component of being a successful label printing company and a core value of Walle Corporation.”
“With print buyers becoming more aware of SGP and sustainable printing practices, more facilities are becoming SGP certified to validate their efforts. SGP’s tag line is ‘Assuring a More Sustainable Supply Chain’ and it is more important than ever that facilities take the initiative to become certified,” says Doreen Monteleone, principal, D2 Advisory Group representing FTA and SGP board members. “Walle has taken that step to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability.
