Wesley K. ‘Andy’ Anderson, co-founder of Anderson & Vreeland, Inc. has passed away at the age of 96, on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Crane’s Mill In West Caldwell, NJ, USA.
Born in New York City, Anderson lived in North Caldwell, NJ and Essex Fells. NJ for most of his life before retiring in 2004 to North Palm Beach, Florida. He co-founded Anderson & Vreeland, Inc. in 1961 with his friend from Williamson & Co., Howard Vreeland, where they worked together building a lifelong friendship and successful business relationship. From its humble beginnings, Anderson & Vreeland has grown to become a leading global provider of flexographic printing and prepress products for the label, packaging and graphic arts industries.
Anderson retired in 2004. “My father’s love for the company was so strong that he often remarked that his biggest regret was retiring from it at age 80,” said Andy’s son, Joe Anderson.
Anderson was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne Anderson for 67 years, and was very proud of his three children, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
