Schobertechnologies GmbH specializes in the development, design and manufacturing of rotary tools, modules and specialty machines widely used in film, foil, packaging, non-woven and paper converting industries. These capabilities have been on display in Rosemont, IL, at Labelexpo Americas.
The company is presenting its RSM410MX-DIGI-VARICUT for the production of in-mold labels (IML). The RSM410MX-DIGI-VARICUT shows the production of high-quality, exclusive metallic in-mold labels being used in markets such as paint, cosmetics, food and storage boxes.
The implemented hybrid drive technology combines continuous and intermittent rotary diecutting technology in re-registration mode, thus a wide range of print formats can be covered with a single tool or magnetic cylinder. This compact RSM version is designed for a maximum web width of 430 mm and for print format lengths up to 32".
The RSM-DIGI-VARICUT portfolio further includes machines, modular and upgradable, designed for a maximum web width of 770 mm and format lengths of up to 1120 mm.
The standard configuration of the RSM410MX-DIGI-VARICUT includes a high speed, programmable robot-automated stacking and counting system ("Spider"), which combines extreme acceleration, velocity and precision at a continuous web speed of up to 50 m/m.
The equipment is designed to stack different types of products combined within the same printing image. These can be heavily nested or can be a combination of very large/long and small products. Universal fast interchangeable pick-up plates take up products at synchronized high speed and stack them non-stop into a dual piling cassette system.
Stations for micro perforations, as well as ejection hole diecutting and waste extraction, are also available options.
Additional technologies on display include rotary cutting and creasing tools, high-performance punching modules, a rotary diecutting perforating module, and modules and tools for braille embossing, among others.
