Grand Prints installs fourth Maxima diecutter

Indian packaging converter Grand Prints has expanded its finishing capabilities with the installation of a Maxima HS-1020 automatic diecutter from Excel Machinery, marking the company’s fourth Excel Maxima system.

Based in India, Grand Prints specializes in pharmaceutical packaging and food cartons and is expanding into FMCG packaging, folding cartons, and cosmetics.

The 28 x 40-inch Maxima HS-1020 is capable of processing up to 7,500 sheets per hour and features a pneumatic chase-locking system with quick die lock, rigid toggle design, gripper bar lock system, automatic centralized lubrication, touchscreen controls, a non-stop feeder, and feeder timing adjustment.

Rohin Anhal, chief executive officer of Grand Prints, says the machine has met the company’s production expectations since its installation two months ago.

“We are happy with the performance of this machine,” Anhal comments. “It does the job well. We are planning to buy another of this machine’s model in the near future.”

Anhal also cites the company’s positive experience with Excel Machinery’s service and support, as well as its decision to invest in equipment manufactured in India.
