Identiv introduces ID-Pixels 3.0 for battery-free supply chain intelligence

Identiv has introduced ID-Pixels 3.0, a next-generation family of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) inlays and labels designed to enable continuous, battery-free sensing and tracking across complex supply chains.

Built on Wiliot’s Gen3 IC, the new platform combines BLE connectivity, energy harvesting, and integrated sensing to deliver real-time visibility into the location and condition of goods. Each label features a unique digital identity and can capture data such as temperature, humidity, and light — supporting applications including inventory tracking, shipment verification, and cold-chain monitoring.

The launch marks the latest development in Identiv’s ongoing collaboration with Wiliot, which began in 2022. ID-Pixels 3.0 builds on earlier iterations with improved performance, scalability, and cost efficiency, enabling high-volume deployment across industries including retail, logistics, pharmaceuticals, and food packaging.

Unlike traditional tracking solutions, the labels harvest energy from ambient Bluetooth and UHF signals, eliminating the need for batteries and reducing maintenance requirements. When integrated with Wiliot’s Physical AI platform, the system converts continuous sensor data into actionable insights, helping organizations move toward more automated, data-driven supply chain operations.
