Pubbli Service S.r.l. has reinforced its label finishing capabilities with the installation of a second Cartes system, adding a GEMINI GE362VR E-LINE to its production floor.

The new machine, configured with flexographic varnishing and semi-rotary diecutting, expands the Italian converter’s capacity for finishing and converting self-adhesive labels. It joins an existing Cartes GT360 Series system installed in 2019, reflecting continued confidence in the supplier’s technology.

Designed for 360 mm web widths, the GEMINI E-LINE platform offers a modular approach to digital label converting, enabling converters to adapt configurations based on production needs. The system supports a range of processes — including flexo printing and varnishing, digital embellishment, hot stamping, and both semi-rotary and laser die-cutting — while also focusing on efficiency gains such as reduced waste, lower energy consumption, and faster job changeovers through stored process parameters.

In the installed configuration, the integration of varnishing and Cartes’ semi-rotary diecutting technology allows Pubbli Service to handle a variety of applications with consistent quality across short and medium runs, while improving turnaround times.

“The installation of a second Cartes machine represents a strategic choice for us,” says Filippo Salati of Pubbli Service. “Our experience with the GT360 Series demonstrated the reliability and flexibility of Cartes solutions. With the GEMINI GE362VR E-LINE, we can further enhance efficiency, responsiveness, and quality in our finishing operations.”

For Cartes, the repeat investment signals a strengthening customer relationship and validates its modular approach to label converting.

“The purchase of a second machine is always a meaningful milestone,” says Diego Casagrande of Cartes. “It reflects the value delivered by the installed technology and the trust built over time.”

The installation highlights ongoing investment among converters in advanced finishing platforms, as demand grows for greater flexibility, faster turnaround, and value-added label production.
