Schades Group announces UK leadership transition

With the retirement of Jack Hugill, John Burgin will assume the role of managing director for Schades Ltd. and Chris Green will assume the role of managing director for Hamilton-Schades.

Schades Group, a label manufacturer with several locations throughout Europe, has announced an a leadership transition within its UK subsidiaries, Schades Ltd and Hamilton-Schades.

Jack Hugill, who has served as the managing director for both entities, has made the decision to retire, effective June 9, 2026. Hugill has made significant contributions to strengthening business operations and nurturing Schades Group’s valued client relationships over the years, the company says.

As it looks to the future, Schades Group is promoting from within its strong internal leadership pool to ensure complete business continuity and a seamless transition for its partners. John Burgin will assume the role of managing director for Schades Ltd. and Chris Green will assume the role of managing director for Hamilton-Schades.

Both incoming managing directors bring a wealth of experience, proven track records, and a deep understanding of the Group’s operations. This decision reflects its commitment to stability and ensures that the high level of service and collaboration customers expect from Schades Group will continue without interruption.

Schades Group acquired Leicestershire-based Hamilton Adhesive Labels in 2024, in line with the company’s growth strategy to diversify its product offering and strengthen its market position in the label manufacturing sector in the UK.
