EMT International and Standard Finishing Systems have announced a strategic partnership to develop integrated finishing solutions that help digital print providers automate production, streamline workflows, and expand application capabilities.

The agreement builds on an existing collaboration centered on integrating EMT’s roll-fed cutting technology with Horizon folding systems. The combined solution has been demonstrated at industry events over the past year for the production of direct mail applications, with multiple integrated finishing lines now installed at customer sites.

According to the companies, the installations have demonstrated the benefits of automated workflows by reducing manual handling and improving production efficiency. Moving forward, EMT and Standard plan to further integrate complementary technologies and develop additional finishing solutions for digital print environments.

“Our customers are increasingly looking for complete solutions that bring multiple technologies together into a single, integrated workflow,” says Mike Herold VP of Marketing and Sales at EMT International. “This partnership allows us to build on the success we’ve already achieved together while continuing to develop solutions that help customers automate more of their production process.”

“Our early collaborations demonstrated the value that our combined solutions can bring to print providers,” says Steven Reny, president at Standard Finishing Systems. “By formalizing this partnership, we can build on that momentum while developing productive, integrated workflows that help customers improve efficiency and expand the range of applications they can produce.”
