Flexo Label Advantage Group LLC (FLAG) has announced its July Lunch & Learn, taking place Thursday, July 23 at 2:00 PM EDT. The live virtual session, “Communicating Color and Minimizing Press Variation,” will be presented by Chris Blackburn, Director of Technical Solutions at Wikoff Color.

Consistent color starts with clear communication and defined expectations throughout the supply chain. During this session, Wikoff’s Technical Solutions Group will explore the fundamentals of color theory and the importance of establishing well-defined color targets between suppliers, printers, and converters.

The Lunch & Learn will cover traditional color communication methods, including print samples and Pantone guides, and compare them to modern digital workflows utilizing PantoneLIVE. Attendees will also learn how anilox inventory libraries, equipment monitoring, and process controls can help drive repeatable print performance.

“Color is one of the most visible measures of quality for any label converter, and when it shifts, customers notice,” says JC McKay, president of FLAG. “This Lunch & Learn gives FLAG Members access to technical expertise that can help them tighten up communication, better understand the variables on press, and put stronger controls in place.”

The session will also highlight the use of MicroDynamics anilox imaging technology and how data-driven anilox management can reduce variation, improve consistency, and support continuous process improvement.

This event is exclusive to FLAG Members, and registration is required. Members are encouraged to bring their production, prepress, quality, and leadership teams to take full advantage of this technical session.
