The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has announced FTA Rising 20, a new recognition program celebrating the industry’s most promising emerging professionals. Just 20 individuals under the age of 35 will be selected for their outstanding achievements, leadership, and potential to shape the future of flexographic printing.

FTA Rising 20 recognizes more than career success. It celebrates the innovators, problem-solvers, collaborators, and future leaders whose ideas and dedication are helping move the industry forward. From the pressroom to research and development, sales, operations, engineering, prepress, education, and beyond, the program shines a spotlight on the professionals who represent the future of flexography. FTA Rising 20 is designed to recognize not only what emerging professionals have accomplished today, but also the impact they are poised to make in the years ahead.

“Our industry has always been driven by people who challenge the routine, embrace innovation, and invest in the success of others,” says Nathan Ridnouer, president of the Flexographic Technical Association. “FTA Rising 20 recognizes those emerging leaders who are already making a difference and whose influence will help define the next chapter of flexography.”

The 2026 class of FTA Rising 20 recipients will be selected through a competitive nomination process based on five areas of excellence:

  • Professional Experience & Achievement – Demonstrated career growth, accomplishments, and contributions to their organization and the flexographic industry.
  • Performance & Innovation – Measurable impact through process improvements, technological advancement, sustainability initiatives, operational excellence, or innovative problem-solving.
  • Leadership & Teamwork – The ability to lead, mentor, collaborate, and positively influence colleagues, teams, and workplace culture.
  • Industry Involvement – Active participation in FTA programs, industry events, committees, educational initiatives, community service, or other efforts that strengthen the flexographic industry.
  • Future Potential – Evidence of leadership promise, vision, and commitment to advancing the future of flexography.

To be eligible, nominees must:

  • Be 35 years of age or younger as of December 31, 2026.
  • Have a minimum of two years of employment in the flexographic or package printing industry.

FTA encourages companies, managers, mentors, and peers to recognize the exceptional young professionals within their organizations while also inviting individuals to nominate themselves.
