Great Little Box Company Ltd. (GLBC) has received a Bronze award in the Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) 33rd Annual Gold Leaf Awards for its Tealeaves Masala Chai label.

The company was recognized in the Best Use of Foil/Embossing – Label (Difficult) category, with judging based on design, execution, and level of difficulty. The annual competition showcases standout achievements in print embellishment, highlighting how specialty finishing techniques enhance visual impact, shelf presence, and brand identity.

The award-winning label was produced using an HP Indigo 6K digital press in combination with an AB Graphic International Digicon Series 3 converting line. The finishing process incorporated a 50-ton hot foil and embossing unit, known as the “Big Foot,” enabling precise application of high-impact decorative effects.

The FSEA Gold Leaf Awards received more than 450 entries across over 35 categories this year, with submissions from around the world. The competition continues to expand to reflect advancements in both digital and conventional embellishment technologies.

Founded in 1982, GLBC provides a broad range of packaging and label solutions, including corrugated packaging, folding cartons, flexible packaging, and digital print. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Canada and distribution locations across North America.

The recognition underscores the growing role of digital print combined with advanced finishing in delivering premium label applications that meet both aesthetic and performance demands.
