Color-Logic has announced it received the Gold Award for “Best Use of Metallized Foil Substrates” at the 2026 Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) Print Embellishment Conference in Nashville.

Commenting on the honor, Color-Logic director of sales and marketing Mark Geeves says, “This prestigious award recognizes the innovative Color-Logic approach to print enhancement, particularly utilizing white ink and toner technologies on metallic substrates. Our winning entry featured the conversion of artwork by renowned designer Greg Horn, made possible by the Color-Logic Design Suite.

“This software solution eliminates the need for graphic designers or print prepress personnel to manually create white ink masks, thus streamlining metallic print production on stocks such as Unilustre DI from Unifoil. We extend our thanks to FSEA, our partners, and the entire print community for helping us push the boundaries of what is possible with metallic substrates and embellishments,” says Geeves.

Geeves continues, “The Color-Logic mantra, ‘White is the New Gold,’ has guided our innovation for years, and this recognition from FSEA truly validates our commitment to advancing metallic print embellishment. We are honored to receive this award and are grateful for our partnership with industry-leading press manufacturers and finishing equipment providers, including: Canon Large Format, Fujifilm Revoria, Konica Minolta, Ricoh 7500, HP Indigo, Mimaki UV Inkjet, and swissQprint Large Format UV Inkjet. Color-Logic also acknowledges finishing partners DUPLO and SCODIX for their role in elevating the final product with tactile embellishments that further enhance the visual and sensory impact of the Color-Logic special effects.”
