INX International Ink Co. has announced a global partnership with Koenig & Bauer to deliver integrated LED-UV, HR-UV, and UV printing solutions aimed at improving productivity and sustainability for commercial printers and packaging converters.

The collaboration brings together Koenig & Bauer’s sheetfed offset press technology with INX’s portfolio of energy-curable inks, creating a more unified printing ecosystem designed to optimize performance from makeready through full production.

Through joint testing on Koenig & Bauer Rapida press platforms, INX’s ink systems have demonstrated the ability to reduce makeready times, improve color stability, and minimize waste, while supporting consistent print quality. The partnership also focuses on lowering energy consumption through advanced LED-UV curing technologies.

“By combining Koenig & Bauer’s press technology with INX’s expertise in energy-curable ink systems, we are delivering integrated solutions that help customers achieve measurable operational improvements while supporting their long-term business and sustainability goals,” says Bryce Kristo, president and CEO of INX.

Koenig & Bauer emphasized the importance of system-level integration in today’s print environment. “Our customers do not need isolated products; they need a seamless ecosystem stretching from the pressroom to the finished package,” comments Dirk Winkler, head of process and printing technology and product management at Koenig & Bauer Sheetfed, adding, “INX’s leadership in energy-curable inks provides the flexibility and innovation printers need to create a competitive advantage.”

Beyond performance gains, the partnership will support ongoing development of sustainable printing technologies, including applications aligned with food packaging safety and broader environmental initiatives. Customers will also have access to joint training, demonstrations, and technical support through Koenig & Bauer’s global demo and training centers.

The alliance reflects a broader industry trend toward tighter collaboration between press manufacturers and consumables suppliers to deliver more efficient, sustainable, and fully optimized print workflows.
