Multi-Color Corporation continues its award-winning tradition with its most recent achievements: winning the Gold Cylinder Award from the Gravure Association of America for Leinenkugel’s Apple Spice Beer metalized label, and a World Label Award for the Olay Total Effects resealable label.
The Leinenkugel label won the Gold Cylinder Award for printing and technical achievement. It was printed in eight-color rotogravure on a metalized beverage paper developed by Multi-Color to provide a premium look for a special promotional product.
The Olay pressure sensitive label was printed five-color flexo on a custom label material designed by Multi-Color for easy open and resealability. World Label Award winners are chosen annually from among the members of the TLMI (Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute), JFLP (Japanese Federation of Label Printers) FINAT, representing European label printers, LATMA (Australia), and SALMA (New Zealand).
“We’re proud of consistently winning the industry’s most prestigious awards, because they showcase the level of innovation we bring our customers to help their brands win big in the marketplace,” says Don Kneir, president of Multi-Color’s Decorating Solutions division.
In 2005, Multi-Color won 16 TLMI awards and four Packaging and Label Gravure Association Print Quality awards.
