Fusion UV Systems Inc., Gaithersburg, MD, USA, recently appointed Kendrolab Spólka z o.o. as its exclusive distributor for Poland. Kendrolab was spun off from the German company Heraeus in 1992. Since 1992, Kendrolab, working as an independent Polish company, has distributed laboratory and medical equipment from several different manufacturers, and infrared and UV lamps from Heraeus. Kendrolab provides sales and service from two locations, Wroclaw and Warszaw.
Bernward Roettgers, general manager of Fusion UV Systems GmbH, says, “Kendrolab is already familiar with UV curing applications and chemistry suppliers. After training on Fusion UV’s differentiated products, they will be able to knowledgeably assist existing and prospective Fusion UV customers in Poland.”
On May 22 and 24, Fusion UV Systems hosted two, one-day UV curing seminars in Brno, Czech Republic and Budapest, Hungary. Over 100 attendees from Hungary and the Czech and Slovak Republics participated in these first-time seminars.
The seminar objective was to provide basic UV knowledge as well as fundamental process information about various UV curing applications. Therefore, Fusion UV invited speakers to present different topic areas.
Participant feedback was very positive with many delegates encouraging Fusion UV to continue this kind of seminar. Fusion UV does plan to continue with UV seminars in Eastern Europe on a regular basis. The next seminar is being planned for Poland in 2008.
