York Label, of Omaha, NE, USA, has announced the acquisition of two label converting companies: Cameo Crafts and Package Service Company. York, which has five plants in four US locations, now expands its manufacturing facilities to 11, and crosses the border into Canada with the purchase of Cameo.
At the same time, York Label has also purchased 50 percent ownership in a joint venture with Marinetti Packaging. The venture will operate under the name of Cameo Marinetti and is located in Santiago, Chile.
The acquisitions bring the company's annual revenue to around $250 million, and doubles the work force to 800.
“With the acquisitions of Cameo Crafts, PSC and the 50 percent ownership in Cameo Marinetti, York continues to make immense progress in reaching our goal of becoming a significant global supplier partner to our major customers and markets," says Rich Egan, York's CEO. "ameo has a history of double-digit organic growth, and all three of these additions to YORK will give us a great edge in our efforts towards generating above-market organic growth. In the future, York will continually look to also grow acquisitively by remaining very active in the search for the right add-on acquisitions to this business.”
Cameo Crafts is a producer of decorative labeling and packaging technologies based in Canada and the US. Cameo specializes in the pharmaceutical and wine and spirits markets, and has three facilities in Montreal; Canada, one in Toronto, Canada, and one facility in Sonoma Valley, CA. It will operate as Cameo Crafts, a York Label Company.
Package Service Company (PSC) is a pressure sensitive label company located in Kansas City, MO, USA. PSC specializes in four core markets: personal care, beverages, household products, and food. It has one facility, which will become York Label, Kansas City.
York Label is one of North America’s largest label producers. In addition to the plants of the acquired companies, York operates two in Omaha, one in Asheville, NC, one in York, PA, and one in El Dorado Hills, CA.
