Mark Andy is focusing attention at Labelexpo to its new 2200 servo press, an upgrade to the widely popular model that the company has produced for years. In addition, it is showing a print station from the new Comco C1 ProGlide, a packaging press.
The press manufacturer launched its MAX program last year, a service entity for the company’s Mark Andy, Comco, and UVT brands. According to Mary Sullivan, director of global marketing, “MAX is the largest customer service and support group in the industry.”
Mark Andy has seven of its VSR rewinders located at various booths throughout Labelexpo Americas. The slitter rewinders now feature controls from Rockwell Automation, which Sullivan says improve on operator interface.
The classic Mark Andy 2200 press, of which there are more than 3,500 installed around the world, received a companion this year in the form of the 2200 servo press, which features servo drives on the print cylinders and die stations. Sullivan says that fully half of 2200 sales this year are of the new servo model.
