SCT International, a holding company focused on security printing, brand protection and anti-counterfeiting, has announced that Affyrmx, its subsidiary, has acquired the intellectual property rights, including certain patents and technology, of Intellectual Product Protection, of Bangkok, Thailand. The transaction did not include the business of Intellectual Product Protection LTD, based in Bangkok, Thailand, which continues to operate as an independent company.
Intellectual Product Protection develops and implements brand protection programs for governments and companies that require a high level of security. Affyrmx, based in Atlanta, GA, USA, licenses proprietary technologies which are designed to ensure the authenticity and integrity of our customers’ brands, products, and documents.
Anthony J. Butte, chairman of SCT, comments, “The acquisition of the intellectual property rights and technologies from Intellectual Product Protection advances our progress towards meeting the strategic goal of identifying and completing synergistic acquisitions that add to our proprietary technology portfolio.” Robert W.
