Schreiner MediPharm, a Germany-based global provider of specialty pharmaceutical labeling solutions for more than 50 years, recently developed specialty adhesive labels that easily adhere to the plastic substrates and curved surfaces of pens and autoinjectors, devices increasingly used by patients, such as diabetics, for self-injection.
These new injection systems are growing in popularity due to the user-comfort and patient safety features that they can offer. Schreiner MediPharm’s specialty labels for these systems include: detachable label segments to assure proper documentation of drug dispensing and administration; multi-page text fields to accommodate extensive information in several languages; labels with tactile elements such as Braille or elements to ensure safe handling of the injection system; special coatings with tactile effects and non-slip properties; and tamper-evident systems to reliably indicate first opening of a pen or autoinjector.
Schreiner MediPharm’s US facility is in Blauvelt, NY.
