Channeled Resources Group (CRG), a producer of reprocessed specialty paper and film headquartered in Chicago, IL, USA, has been a 50 percent owner of GMC Coatings Ltd. since its inception. Today CRG announced the acquisition of the other 50 percent. The company now plans to focus attention on building GMC’s custom release liner business.
“Our focus will be on excellent quality, short lead times, and unique coatings, and printing solutions,” says Cindy White, president of Channeled Resources Group.
GMC is a niche coater of release liners that sells mainly into the medical, sealant, tape, envelope, and crafts markets. It is located in Markham, ON, Canada.
Channeled Resources also sells seconds of liner and pressure sensitive roll label stock at its Maratech facility in Wisconsin. Maratech is the largest reprocessor of coated, treated, and laminated films and paper in the world. In addition to GMC and Maratech, CRG’s Recycling Solutions division helps customers reduce waste by creating alternatives to landfilling.
