Hammer Packaging, based in Rochester, NY, USA, has announced that it will invest in two new presses this year. The company has purchased a third variable speed offset printing press (VSOP), which is expected to arrive in November. According to the company, this purchase makes Hammer the single largest user of VSOP sleeve technology in the world. The new VSOP will be equipped with the latest upgrades from Muller Martini.
The company is also growing its Flexo Division with the purchase of a new narrow web, ten-color Nilpeter UV-Flexo press. This investment will allow the company to keep pace with the growth of its flexo operations, which have recently expanded and moved to its Rochester Tech Park location.
"Reducing lead times, increasing speed to market and delivering a high-quality product are critical drivers to customer satisfaction," says James E. Hammer, president and CEO of Hammer Packaging. "The new purchases of press equipment will not only allow us to increase our overall capacity, but also allow us to meet our client's needs more quickly and efficiently."
