MacDermid Printing Solutions announced the creation of the LUX Certification Program, an initiative whereby tradeshops and printers using the LUX platemaking process become officially certified through MacDermid.
To achieve LUX Certification, a company must demonstrate proficiency and technical accuracy
producing plates using the LUX platemaking process, and show that it has been able to improve print quality and consistency through the application of the LUX process.
Over the course of two weeks at drupa, 19 customers have been certified through the program. Fittingly, the first company to become LUX Certified was CSW, Inc., based in Ludlow, Massachusetts, USA. CSW played a key role in the testing the LUX process and was the first customer to use LUX in commercial applications.
MacDermid expects to certify the rest of its 100+ installation sites in the coming months. The most up-todate list of LUX-certified tradeshops and printers can be found on MacDermid’s website at
