UPM Raflatac recently launched a range of products featuring RH15, a new freezer-grade hotmelt adhesive for the Americas market. RH15 is designed to adhere to frosty, wet or moist packaging. And, it can also be used for standard, unfrozen applications.
Many adhesives will not stick to a product if it has been frozen during the packaging process. But, UPM Raflatac's RH15 products offer a solution to this labeling challenge. High initial tack and lasting adhesion allows these labelstocks to adhere to items with high condensation, moisture or frost – including corrugated cardboard. They’re ideal for food packaging and greenhouse/plant nursery environments, as well as retail information; and logistics and transport labeling. It’s also appropriate to use them for indirect poultry labeling; RH15 will stick to frozen and thawed poultry packaging, and it is compositionally compliant with FDA regulation 21 CFR 175.105 - Adhesives.
“The multiple uses and benefits of RH15 adhesive are incomparable,” says Jean-Marc Borel, specials business director, Americas, UPM Raflatac. “Its versatility allows for purchasing consolidation and improved production time, providing added value and convenience for our customers.”
