Pure Labels has announced a new sustainable pressure sensitive adhesive label showcasing premium Fair Trade paper facestock from Distant Village, Inc.
“Pure Labels is the first commercially available label using Fair Trade artisan paper. This is a revolutionary new alterative for sustainable adhesive labels," says Rich Cohen, president of Distant Village. Cohen says the fair trade product category is more than $5B, and growing rapidly at more than 20% annually. "Pure Labels are aligned with the missions of specialty brands in fair trade, artisanal, and biodynamic segments such as coffee, chocolate, wine, textiles, body care, and more," he says.
Pure Labels are manufactured by Distant Village, Inc. using the company’s exclusive fair trade label facestock made from their trademark blend of wildgrass and hemp. “PURE Labels is a global leader in sustainable specialty labels. Currently the company is completing development of the next generation of sustainable labels, including a 100% compost-friendly sustainable PSA label and a wet-strength artisan PSA label targeted toward the wine and spirits segment.
