Memjet's Tom Roetker, vice president of engineering at Memjet Labels, and Judd Quimby, vice president of business development at Memjet, shared expert insights on advanced digital printing applications at the IMI Digital Printing Presses Conference. Beginning April 30 in Scottsdale, AZ, USA, the three-day event brought together industry experts and end users in the digital printing space to learn about opportunities and challenges of digital printing developments, as well as the impact of trends such as on demand production, personalized products and the analog-to-digital transition.
Roetker and Quimby outlined emerging applications for digital printing in labels and commercial print environments through case studies and specific examples. They will then address technology specifications that allow for advantages in label, packaging and commercial print applications, such as page wide array print heads, advanced inks and improved data paths. Roetker and Quimby will also share their insights on the future trends and needs of digital printing.
“Technology is developing at a faster pace than ever before, which is rapidly leading digital printing into a new and exciting era,” said Roetker. “There is an immense opportunity for labels, commercial and packing sectors to take advantage of speed, ink and print head advances to drive printing productivity and flexibility to new heights.”
