Afinia Label announced it has completed a reseller’s agreement with Etirapid of México City, Mexico. Etirapid will be selling the Afinia Label L801 Color Label Printer, DLP-2000 Mini Digital Label Press, and related supplies.
“Mexico is a large primary and secondary labeling market and Etirapid has already established itself as a key equipment reseller,” said Mike Atkins, Afinia Label’s National Sales Manager. “We are excited at the potential we see in this region. Partnering with Etirapid has been a good fit. Their expertise of the market and of label printing and finishing equipment allows them to provide manufacturers with label production solutions that enhance productivity and profitability. They are also the first to sell and install a DLP-2000 in-country.”
The Afinia Label L801 is powered by Memjet technology, which gives it a print speed of 60 feet per minute and an ink cost of less than three cents for a 4” x 6” label with 75% coverage. "This is a fraction of the cost of other inkjet label printers," Atkins says. The L801 supports 3 print modes: Roll to Roll, Roll to Cut, Print & Hold.
"The Afinia Label DLP-2000 Mini Digital Label Press includes an L801 Label Printer, working inline with a laminator, a rotary diecutting station, which can use your existing 12” RotoMetrics dies, a slitter, and rewinder," explains Atkins. The DLP-2000 can run at speeds up to 30 feet per minute. In full-rotary mode, the DLP-2000 can convert continuous label stock at up to 140 feet per minute.
Daniel Camhi, general manager of Etirapid, says, “We have quite a bit of experience helping our clients take advantage of labeling opportunities. We carry a wide range of thermal transfer printers, so adding the L801 is a good move. There is nothing like it in our market. At Expo Gráfica, the visitors to our booth were impressed with its speed and low cost of operation.”
