The impact of globalization is a business topic with staying power. In today’s integrated world, clients aren’t necessarily next door neighbors—they can hail from far away distances like Hong Kong, Berlin or Santiago. What does this mean for a printer/converter and those who supply press components to the package printing and converting industry? How can this parlay into new opportunities for growth and profitability? Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) 2016 Forum directly addresses these topics in an all-new “Flexo International – 60 Minutes Around the World” session that will take place on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.
Chaired by Alex James, Kodak, and Marek Skrzynski, CSW, Inc., the session will take conference goers on a journey across the continents to shed light, and in some cases, dispel common misconceptions associated with the global package printing and converting industry. Topics to be discussed include: international economies, emerging technologies, current challenges, investments being made region to region, and the wide variety of educational programs available throughout the world.
“In order to remain competitive in today’s global economy, a keen understanding of how flexo operates outside of North America is essential,” says James. “This session will make its debut at a Forum, and since it will feature experts who have direct experience in China, Europe, Australia and Latin America, we are sure that attendees will leave armed with valuable information that will help them remain competitive, both locally and globally.”
The list of panelists for the “Flexo International – 60 Minutes Around the World” session include:
Juan Bermudez, vice president of sales, Harper Corporation of America
Lilián Robayo Páez, editor, El Empaque+Conversion
David Recchia, printing process specialist, MacDermid Printing Solutions
Birgit Plautz, manager of technical services, GMG Americas
FTA’s 2016 Forum “Power of the Past, Force of the Future” is slated for March 6-9 at the Omni Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX, USA. Co-located with the event is the INFO*FLEX Exhibition, to be staged March 7 and 8 at the Fort Worth Convention Center, where nearly 250 of the industry’s leading suppliers will be on hand to showcase their latest and most revolutionary products and services. Each Forum registration includes entrance into the INFO*FLEX Exhibition.
