Maan Engineering has opened its test center, which was specially developed for roll-to-roll coating techniques, in Raalte, the Netherlands. Visitors can learn about new coating equipment to apply silicone and hot melt. In addition, the quality of the various coating layers can be determined through the use of various Dye Stain tests, microscope tests, release and subsequent adhesion tests, and XRF tests.
Maan Engineering is a new player in the label industry, but the company has many years of experience in the field of coating techniques. The test center introduces Maan Engineering’s equipment and expertise.
Client-specific demonstrations are available, and Maan Engineering plans to organize two linerless seminars in 2016. The company also hopes to conduct live demonstrations in North America during 2016. Label printing companies have already made use of the test center.
The base of Maan Engineering roll-to-roll coating techniques comprises the DieRect Roller Coating Head and the Silicone Coating Station. The Direct Roller Coating Head offers quality, homogeneity and a low coating weight. The Silicone Coating Station comes standard with UV-curing in an inert chamber.
