On Saturday, March 5 the judges of the 9th Annual Phoenix Challenge college competition witnessed a top-notch performance by the college teams. Each team showcased their problem-solving skills and knowledge of graphic arts and flexography, presenting their months-long projects in professional business presentations to a scrutinizing judging panel comprised of today’s industry leaders.
The competition requires students to develop, create and present a complete solution with a roadmap of research, design and printed/converted execution to solve a viable business-centric problem. The projects take form over an entire college semester and allow each student team to apply his or her business acumen, analysis, design creativity and flexography knowledge. It comes to a conclusion when each team presents their project during an all-day presentation and competition event.
Winners are honored the next day and presented with trophies and scholarships to aid in further pursuing a future in flexography. This year's winners were:

Colleen Twomey (instructor), Leanne Morris, Aislinn Bryan, Natalie Jones, Lindsay Mitchell, Isabella Baldwin, Hannah Girogi, Reina Stephenson and Nicholas Azevedo
