The Comexi Group has sold a nine station gravure press to American Packaging Corporation (APC), which will be operational in February 2017. Working with APC’s operation’s team to understand its needs, Comexi will custom build its next ACOM Platinum gravure press with the latest advances in registration control, quick changeovers, 100% defect detection, increased production speeds and improved efficiencies.
Comexi and APC have enjoyed a collaborative relationship since 2006, when the latter added the first ACOM RG Platinum press. Since then, APC has purchased a total of four state-of-the-art ACOM presses.
APC continues to invest in the latest technology, providing it with a competitive advantage as the company continues to diversify its customer portfolio. APC has three manufacturing Centers of Converting Excellence and a Packaging Innovation Center to effectively support several industries, including dry foods, seasoning and mixes, coffee and tea, refrigerated dairy and fresh produce, frozen products, confectionary, medical, personal care, nutraceutical, hard to hold products, liquids, and other specialty items.
“This press will be the fourth rotogravure that Comexi ACOM has supplied American Packaging. What keeps bringing us back to Comexi ACOM is their high level of quality and service, along with competitive pricing and offering the latest in machine technology," says Jeff Koch, executive vice president. "We have developed a very positive, trusting and collaborative partnership over the past decade."
With the model COMEXI ACOM RG Platinum, Comexi offers advanced technological solutions in the field of rotogravure printing for flexible packaging. According to the company, the equipment provides excellent results, with superior printing quality at high speeds and at reduced waste percentages.
