Gintzler International, a provider of custom label and product identification packaging solutions, will host a community blood drive in collaboration with the American Red Cross on Friday, May 13th from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The drive will be held at Gintzler’s New York facility, 100 Lawrence Bell Drive, Buffalo, NY, USA.
The American Red Cross is pleased to partner with Gintzler International during National Trauma Month. Blood products are needed in many emergency situations, including those involving trauma. A single car accident victim can need as many as 100 units of blood. Volunteer blood and platelet donors across the country are needed to help save lives.
Gintzler International is commemorating over 100 years of packaging excellence this year and is participating in a series of community service events across its two locations in Buffalo, NY and Liberty Hill, TX to celebrate. “We are excited to be hosting this community blood drive,” says Mary Scheible, CAO of Gintzler International. “We want to give back to the communities who have helped make Gintzler successful through the years. We encourage all eligible donors to join us.”
Anyone who is at least 17 years old, weighs a minimum of 110 pounds, and is in generally good health can donate blood. The entire process takes approximately 45 minutes, and all blood types are needed. Donors are encouraged to eat a meal prior to giving blood and drink plenty of water. Photo IDs are required.
Gintzler International would like to recognize and thank Perry’s Ice Cream for their support by offering participating donors “a pint for a pint.” Thanks to Perry’s, donors will receive a coupon for a free pint of ice cream, in addition to a coupon for $1 off any Perry’s product.
To schedule an appointment to donate blood, visit www.redcrossblood.org or contact Kristen at 716-631-9700. Walk-ins are also welcome at this drive.
