Lombardi Converting machinery srl has named RR Print A/S as its agent in the Nordic countries.
Lombardi, an Italian company founded by Claudio Lombardi in Brescia, northern Italy, has built a strong name in diecutting equipment and installed over 1,000 machines worldwide. Recently, the company felt that the market was saturated and decided to invest in R&D for the flexo industry.
During the past 10 years, Claudio Lombardi and his three sons have managed to build a fast growing manufacturing capacity and provided the markets in South Europe (France, Italy, Spain), the Middle East and the Far East with successful installations. These installations and the continuous contact with clients have boosted business. The improved technology of the company's narrow web flexo presses, along with new electronic devices and specific software, have simplified the operators' tasks.
In 2014, Lombardi started to work with Hancock-RC Group, which is based in the Netherlands, in the challenging Western and Northern Europe markets. The co-operation with Lombardi came at the right time, with the goal of providing better quality at a more attractive price point.
The installations have been very well received and "offered more than our customers expected," says Henk Ockerse, CEO of the Hancock-RC Group and also owner of Van Zalinge Benelux BV, agent in the Benelux. "We are ready for further growth, especially now that Lombardi is doubling its production capacity and also will maintain a permanent showroom to show the state-of-the-art technology in flexo presses and digital finishing equipment.”
The co-operation between the Hancock-RC Group, European master agent of Lombardi, and RR Print is set to be concluded by the end of 2016. "RR Print is a company with a well-established network in the printing industry, with the potential to extend our existing business with a well valued product in the Nordic countries," says Heidi Graff, managing director.
