MacDermid Graphics Solutions has announced the appointment of Alicia Gibson as global strategic marketing and portfolio manager. She comes to MacDermid with over 15 years of specialty chemical and product management experience.
Before joining MGS, Gibson served as segment marketing manager, Carbonates for Imerys and previously, marketing manager for OCI Chemical’s soda ash and sodium percarbonate business, where she coordinated both marketing and technical service departments.
“Alicia’s extensive experience in managing new product development projects will be instrumental in her new role at MacDermid,” states Melanie Galloway, global SVP and GM for MGS. “She will also be tasked with working with the leadership team to further develop and implement the strategic marketing plan for MacDermid Graphics Solutions.”
Based in Atlanta, GA, Gibson’s role will focus on growth for MacDermid’s extensive product lines of printing plate technologies through the identification of market needs, new product development and new product introduction.

She will be a perfect fit as we continue to enhance our capabilities and elevate our product portfolio to bring new technologies into the marketplace that benefit all of our customers,” says Ryan Vest, director of innovation, MGS.
Gibson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a certificate in Pulp & Paper Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, and an MBA from Queens University in Charlotte, NC. She currently resides in Marietta, GA with her husband and daughter. Gibson will be located at the Graphics facility in Atlanta, GA, and will be reporting to Melanie Galloway.
