Quantum Design Inc. of Loves Park, IL, USA, has announced the acquisition of CTC International Inc. of West Caldwell, NJ. CTC will join KTI, a fellow converting equipment manufacturer, in the Quantum Design family of products.
Through its experience working with KTI, Quantum Design has a grasp on the web handling and converting equipment industry and will be able to shed new light on the CTC product line. Like KTI, CTC offers a well-known line of turret rewinders, automatic splicers, waste matrix winders and unwind/rewind stands to industries such as packaging, tag & label, printing, film, and more.
Danny Pearse and David Culvey, owners of Quantum Design have worked hard with the KTI team since that acquisition in 2014 to improve the KTI product line by creating an R&D team, offering new products, product improvements, better service and improving the overall company culture. They are excited to jump right into doing the same for the CTC product line. “This acquisition will bring not only a whole new customer base to our company, but also a new range of products and services to our existing customer base," says Pearse of the acquisition. “We look forward to offering new and current customers for both CTC and KTI a product solution and level of service they may not have experienced before.”
Quantum Design is in the process of re-locating CTC’s assets and data to their South Beloit, IL location, home to KTI’s manufacturing facility. They hope to complete this process by the end of next week so they can jump right into helping existing CTC customers.
