Turner Labels Inc. is launching digital printing services with an HP Indigo 6900 digital press. This newly released, high-performance narrow-web press drives demanding data applications, including 1:1 brand campaigns and security printing.
The Kentucky-based label converter completed installation of the HP Indigo 6900 press this week at its greater Lexington site to deliver digitally printed shrink sleeves, high-quality wine and spirit labels and security features for its clientele that includes leading brands in the US.
In business for 51 years, Turner Labels is a family-owned and operated company founded by Bob Turner. The second generation of company leadership, CEO Stephen Turner, decided to make the move into digital to pave the way to the future.
“Turner Labels installed the HP Indigo digital press to stay relevant in the marketplace and secure the future of the company by becoming a leader in market segments,” says Stephen Turner. “The press will also allow us to launch new security options and keep up with the changing demands of customers. This gives us an opportunity to expand into markets more quickly and take on jobs that would not have been cost efficient in the past.”
The new HP Indigo 6900 digital press, the latest version of the narrow-web HP Indigo 6000 platform, increases the addressable digital label market. The solution includes the high-performance HP Production Pro for Indigo Labels and Packaging, with up to five times faster RIP power to increase the number of jobs per day, shortening delivery cycles.
“The Indigo 6900 is a new, exciting way for us to stay competitive and drive business by leveraging the latest technology in the printing industry,” Turner adds.
