During FTA’s Awards Banquet, an event held in conjunction with Forum & INFOFLEX 2019, Dave Nieman was inducted as the 57th member of the Hall of Fame. The honor was presented to Nieman in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel.
Working today as the president/CEO of All Printing Resources (APR), he understands and appreciates the strength that every player brings to a team.
“His viewpoint is, he becomes successful by having the people around him become successful,” shares close friend and fellow Hall of Famer Paul Lancelle. “By his nature, he is never one to want to hog that spotlight. He realizes the more that other people receive recognition, the better it is for them, the better it is for him and the better it is for the team.”
Nieman has been involed with the FTA for the past 30 years. Before internet and emails simplified communications, Nieman was involved in setting up regional workshops across the US. As the workshops phased out, Nieman took on more, serving on the FTA Board of Directors and FFTA Board of Trustees for two consecutive three-year terms from 2004-2010, as FTA Vice Chair, Suppliers and FTA Board Chair. He was a member of the TEST Oversight Committee, FTA Strategic Planning Initiative, and provided guidance in the formation of the Leadership Council, as well as an active part of the FFTA Scholarship Committee.
“The first thing that comes to my mind is what a generous person he is, always thinking about everyone else besides himself first,” shares Dave’s wife of 39 years, Eva.
