A B Graphic International (ABG) has supplied Abbott Label, a US-based family run trade-only label manufacturing company, with a Vectra ECTR 4 spindle turret rewinder. The installation marks Abbott's first equipment purchase from the finishing specialists.
Established in 2001, Abbott Label consists of four strategically located manufacturing facilities based in Dallas, Georgia, California and Illinois. Operating an HP Indigo WS6900 and a Domino N610i, the company runs a digital print production center alongside its head office at its 100,000 square-foot Dallas facility.
Additional capabilities at its other sites include running Mark Andy flexo presses, up to 20" wide and up to eight colors.
With customer service very much at the core of the company, Abbott Label bases its business model on getting information and products to their customer base faster and smoother than their competition. The Vectra ECTR 17" (440 mm) supplied to Abbott Label can run at a top speed of 150 m/m, thereby helping the company to increase workflow efficiencies and reduce lead times. It is also fully upgradable with a wide range of options, including automatic core loading, finished roll closure with print and apply label application, and ABG’s fleyeVision 100% camera inspection system.
Abbott Label managing director, John Abbott, says, “As we are always looking for ways to strengthen our service offering, the turret rewinder is a sound investment. ABG has been great to work with – a family-run company that shares many of our values, including strong customer service ethics. Abbott Label prides itself in selecting only the best vendors to partner with.”
“We are delighted to supply Abbott Label with hopefully the first of many items of ABG finishing equipment. We fully share their drive and commitment to always delight the customer and we look forward to following their progress in the future,” adds Matt Burton, ABG’s global sales director.
