In preparation for Labelexpo Americas, Heidelberg Gallus recently detailed two new launches. The company has announced the unveiling of Gallus One, a new digital UV inkjet web press platform, and the launch of its new US Gallus Screeny Demonstration and Production facility, located at its Ivyland, PA, location.
Heidelberg Gallus will have experts on-hand at the show (booth 3228), taking place September 13-15, 2022, in Rosemont, IL, to discuss the benefits of this recent product launch, as well as those associated with the new facility in Ivyland. The company’s versatile portfolio will also be a hot topic of discussion, as converters learn more about how these products can boost their bottom line.
The Gallus One, UV inkjet digital label press, has been designed to remove the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) barrier for the adoption of reel-to-reel digital labels with the highest level of automation and cloud-based technologies. In doing so, it provides brands, for the first time, with access to cost effective and sustainable, high-quality digital labels.
Engineered to spark a transformation across the industry for the combination of quality, uptime, productivity, and ease of use, the Gallus One was leveraged from the market-leading Gallus Labelmaster press platform. As a 340mm wide roll-to-roll UV inkjet digital inline label press, Gallus One utilizes a host of features to achieve high levels of automation and press efficiency, with unrivaled UV inkjet print quality and stand-out print speeds of up to 70 m/m.
“Heidelberg Gallus is excited for the launch of the Gallus One digital engine platform, with our exclusive Prinect Digital Front End controller, and what that does for both traditional flexo-label manufactures’ quality and cost structure on short run, high SKU, or variable content jobs, but also for commercial and entrepreneurial digital label printers looking to enter niche segments," Dan Maurer, vice president of Digital Print - North America for Heidelberg Gallus, tells L&NW. "Gallus One takes the highest print quality, reliability, longevity of investment, modular flexibility, and technology innovation our customers have come to expect from Gallus, and moves that acquisition cost down into a much wider audience of the label market."
With the new press available to pre-order, Gallus hopes to reinvent the way in which converters approach digital label printing – providing either a standalone digital offering or a complimentary service within a traditional analog operation.
Along with its new product announcement at Labelexpo Americas, Heidelberg will also showcase its Gallus Screeny products and services, and introduce the company’s new Saphira Flexo consumables, available 24/7 on the Heidelberg eShop.
