Finishing equipment manufacturer, A B Graphic International (ABG), held an open house event at its manufacturing facility in Girona, Spain. The site, used by Enprom Solutions, jointly acquired by ABG and Kocher+Beck in July 2019, manufactures ABG’s non-stop winding machines, converting lines, sleeve machines and automated customised products. The event took place on November 9 and 10, with online demonstrations being filmed November 11, providing a valuable insight for ABG’s global customers.
As this was the first opportunity that ABG has had to officially welcome the Girona site to the family, much due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event was mainly attended by Spanish customers seeking to improve efficiencies and productivity at their own facilities. Of particular interest was ABG’s non-stop winder range featuring cutting techniques that provide the best butt splice in the market.
The event itself included a mixture of presentations and demonstrations aimed at displaying ABG’s technology. In the evening on both days, the company laid on tours of historic Girona, thereby concluding a highly successful and enjoyable experience for all those attending.
Commenting on the day, ABG’s CEO, Richard Knight, says, “It’s great to welcome visitors to our impressive facility here in Girona and to be able to finally demonstrate our non-stop technology. At ABG our customers drive our innovation, so to be back in front of them showcasing our latest machinery, such as our non-stop winder butt splicing range, is a fantastic and most welcomed opportunity.”
