As the world continues to grapple with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the label and package printing industry is preparing to get back on the road. From A B Graphic International and Avery Dennison to Wausau Coated Products and Xeikon, more than 50 suppliers will be in attendance at Label Congress from September 29-30 in Rosemont, IL, USA.
Label Congress 2021 is a new niche event from the Labelexpo team, and it has been specifically tailored to the current climate. This one-time show will feature a conference program filled with expert speakers, a #labelreunion networking event and an expo where attendees can reconnect and network with some of the biggest players in the industry.
The full list of exhibitors is available here.
Label Congress, in comparison to Labelexpo Americas, is a smaller, carefully curated event. It has been designed to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines.
“We are very much looking forward to bringing the industry back together at the only event of its kind this year in North America,” states Tasha Ventimiglia, Label Congress 2021 event director. “Industry learning is an ongoing process, so we are delighted to be able to offer an on-site opportunity for attendees to continue this as we move into the post-pandemic recovery phase, with a high caliber of speakers tackling the industry’s most pressing topics. What’s more, by also making this content available on-demand digitally, we can offer this learning opportunity to a wider global audience that is unable to attend in person.”
According to the Labelexpo team, the hosts are working in partnership with local Illinois authorities, event partners and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center to meet local safety standards. Label Congress features a “Trust Label Congress” framework, which has been carefully designed based on the operational guidelines produced by industry bodies, including SISO, IAEE, UFI and the AEO.
In addition to the conferences and trade show portions of the event, #labelreunion will function as a networking party that allows for in-person get-togethers that haven’t taken place on a wide scale in the past 18 months – and longer for those who regularly attend Labelexpo Americas. The show last took place in 2018.
Getting an education
A lineup of high-profile speakers from across the label and package printing industry are set to take part in the Label Congress 2021 educational program that will run alongside the main exhibition.
Day one of the conference focuses on global market trends and key technologies. Among the session highlights is the opening joint presentation providing a global market view, led by TLMI president Linnea Keen and AWA president Corey Reardon. Other day one highlights include Filip Weymans, VP global marketing, Flint Group Digital/Xeikon, and AB Graphic International’s west coast regional sales manager Jim Kehring, who will present on digital embellishment technology.
“I am looking forward to participating in one of the first in-person industry gatherings since the start of the pandemic, and am also looking forward to supporting this event by providing insights, alongside Linnea Keen of TLMI, on the labeling and product decoration market,” comments Reardon.
Meanwhile, Day two will focus on future-proofing your business. A wide range of industry experts, from companies like Flint Group, Global Graphics, and Mactac, will present.
All conference sessions will be made available on-demand the day after they take place.
