PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, the research arm of NPES, announced its Summer Meeting to be held July 21-23, 2014 in Cleveland, OH, USA.
Themed “Print’s Evolution – Changing Markets, Firms, Technologies and Applications,” organizers say the PRIMIR 2014 Summer Meeting will be packed with data and content including the new PRIMIR study “Tag & Label Printing Trends.” Jennifer Dochstader and David Walsh, Founding Partners of LPC will explore the tag & label market, providing insights about tags, pressure sensitive paper and film labels, variable information processing (VIP) labels, glue-applied labels, shrink labels, non-pressure sensitive, non-shrink labels, and In-mold labels. The presentation will also provide a detailed overview of the evolving North American tag and label marketplace for each of the segments, including: market sizing and forecast data, regional and global market trends, brand owner insights, print process trends, ink/chemistry and substrate trends, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, the presentation will address trends in the end-use markets such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical and others.
Keeping with the theme, another new PRIMIR study presentation, “Print Applications: Revenues, Processes and Run Lengths in Commercial Printing,” will feature findings from I.T. Strategies by Mark Hanley, President. This research focuses on changing marketing and advertising applications including catalogs, brochures and pamphlets, inserts, direct mail and coupons. PRIMIR attendees will gain historical statistics for 2010 and 2012, and forecasts to 2017 for commercial printer revenues. Print processes and shifts, as well as run lengths by application will also be revealed. In addition, print buyer and brand owner perspectives will provide insights into changing needs, which ultimately drive shifts in run lengths and/or print process.
