Afinia Label has announced that it has completed a resellers’ agreement with DSI Group of Granby, CT (Hartford) and Etirapid of México City, Mexico. DSI Group and Etirapid will be selling the Afinia Label L801 Label Printer, the DLP-2000 Digital Label Press, and related supplies.
The Afinia Label L801 Color Label Printer is powered by Memjet technology, which gives it a print speed of 60 feet per minute and an ink cost of less than three cents for a 4 x 6 label with 75% coverage. The L801 supports three print modes: Roll to Roll, Roll to Cut, and Print & Hold.
“DSI Group is an excellent addition to our reseller network,” says Mike Atkins, Afinia Label’s national sales manager. “DSI Group has a long history of providing capital equipment, installation and training to label manufacturers across the nation. Their broad industry knowledge and after-sales support is impressive. DSI Group will no doubt be beneficial to our clients looking for a trusted advisor to help guide them through the many options available for in-house, on-demand color label printing.”
Regarding the Etirapid deal, Atkins says, “Mexico is a large primary and secondary labeling market and Etirapid has already established itself as a key equipment reseller. We are excited at the potential we see in this region. Partnering with Etirapid has been a good fit. Their expertise of the market and of label printing and finishing equipment allows them to provide manufacturers with label production solutions that enhance productivity and profitability. They are also the first to sell and install a DLP-2000 in-country.”
Daniel Camhi, general manager of Etirapid, says, “We have quite a bit of experience helping our clients take advantage of labeling opportunities. We carry a wide range of thermal transfer printers, so adding the L801 is a good move. There is nothing like it in our market. At Expo Gráfica, the visitors to our booth were impressed with its speed and low cost of operation.”
