Vacumet acquires Proma Technologies
Vacumet Corp., headquartered in Wayne, NJ, USA, has acquired the assets of Proma Technologies, of Franklin, MA, USA. The Franklin facility becomes part of Vacumet’s Metallized Paper Division.
Vacumet is a leader in vacuum metallizing and is the single largest non-captive metallizing company in the world. This process imparts decorative and/or barrier properties to plastic film and paper used mainly in packaging applications but also for industrial uses. Vacumet manufactures in New Jersey, Illinois, Georgia, Connecticut, Tennessee, Indiana, and now Massachusetts.
The Franklin facility produces metallized and holographic papers used in the promotion and packaging of a wide range of consumer products as well as labels and greeting cards.
