The Coated Products Operations of Green Bay Packaging offers two new thermal transfer labelstocks that it says provide customers with an economical alternative to standard thermal transfer labelstock. The new labelstocks, Economy Thermal Transfer and Ultra Economy Thermal Transfer, use a thinner, 39# facestock. The Economy Thermal Transfer labelstock uses a 2.5 mil super-calendared kraft liner, the same liner as standard thermal transfer material. The Ultra Economy Thermal Transfer label has a thinner 1.8 mil glassine liner. Both labelstocks can withstand high speed diecutting and stripping. The company says the strength of the new labelstocks is comparable to other grades and that they are brighter than most other grades,
