F.L. Smithe introduces the new ESP (Enhanced Servo Press), the first totally servo driven printing press designed specifically for the envelope industry. The company says the ESP is an advanced stack-style fully servo driven flexographic printing press capable of up to six colors of outside printing and two colors of inside printing on both coated and uncoated envelope paper stocks. Each ESP print station is independently servo driven and utilizes an advanced sleeve system for both print cylinders and anilox rolls for fast job changeovers. Drying stations are located between print stations and at the end of the printing process.
